Hannah joined Chambers in 2011, having completed her pupillage in a leading family set in London. Prior to pupillage, she was a solicitor in the property department of an international “magic circle” law firm.
Her practice encompasses all areas of family law.
Hannah deals with all forms of financial relief on divorce including cases involving complex assets, trusts, pre-nuptial agreements and foreign aspects. Her background as a property solicitor gives her an advantage in dealing with the financial issues which arise on relationship breakdown. She is confident in dealing with complex commercial and property documents and with claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
In relation to children law, Hannah has acted for parents and children in contact, residence, prohibited steps and specific issue disputes. She has appeared before district and circuit judges and has drafted a raft of position statements and orders as well as an affidavit in a complex leave to remove application. As a pupil, she assisted leading and junior counsel in the Court of Appeal on the case of Re W (A Child) [2011] EWCA Civ 703.
Hannah undertakes Family Law Act 1996 cases including acting in applications for occupation and non-molestation injunctions. She has appeared on an ex-parte basis and at final hearing stage.
She has also represented landlords in a number of residential possession claims in the County Courts.
