Helen Dancer joined Chambers in January 2003 following completion of her pupillage in London. In 2007 she was awarded the Helena Normanton Scholarship by the University of Sussex to undertake doctoral research into women's property rights in Africa. She retains her connection with Chambers as a Door Tenant.
As a Family practioner, Helen is experience in public and private children law matters up to High Court level, including care proceedings, wardship and cases with international, immigration and human rights law aspects, Family Law Act injunctions and matrimonial finance. She has further experience in Human Rights issues within the context of refugee and immigration law, having represented clients from a variety of countries and backgrounds in asylum and entry clearance appeals.
