Our Fees

At Guildford Chambers we are sensitive to the need for solicitors to provide clients with reasonable and reliable estimates of our fees prior to instructing counsel. Our Clerks can therefore advise on fees before work is undertaken and state on request how they have been calculated based upon the:

• Nature and complexity of the work
• Seniority of counsel and their experience in the particular field
• Level of urgency 
• Estimated preparation time
• Estimated length of hearing

Our fees are therefore not set but reflect the seniority of counsel, the complexities of the case, the length of time for prepaparation and the needs of the client. Fees can be discussed and agreed in advance or estimates provided using hourly rates as an indication as to the likely costs. Where appropriate, Conditional Fee Agreements will be accepted subject to assessments.
